Announced recently by Vogue "tube socks are back!", the high-stretch sport sock with its coloured stripes was originally popularised by the greats of 60's and 70's sport. From basketball's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to skateboarding's Tony Alva and tennis star, Björn Borg, the look was universally loved and the sock length adjusted for each discipline. For anyone who's image involved the wearing of shorts, the high length tube socks were a must - the craze was born.
